Mr. Gooi Seong Heen is one of the founders of LGEF which was set up in 2010 with the aim of providing financial assistance to needy students.
Mr. Gooi graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto and obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Mr. Gooi was an engineer with Esso Singapore Pte Ltd from 1973 to 1974.
From 1972 until to-date, he has been a director of SKL, a company which owns a controlling stake in CCB and KLR, both are public companies listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
Appointed to the board of CCB in 1995, Mr. Gooi is currently an Executive Director of CCB. Mr Gooi was appointed to the board of KLR in 1990 and serves as the Managing Director of KLR since 2006. His experience embraces oil palm and rubber estate management, palm oil mill management and property development. He also sits on the board of several other private companies.
